Hello!I'm Julia Bazemore. Welcome to the Wyde! Podcasts have all types of focus these days, this one is ministry. So off the bat, I expect God will meet you where you are here. I trust that He will speak to you in the days and weeks to come as a result of what you hear. His Word is just that powerful, and I try to keep a purity in delivery to facilitate that.
I find topical podcasts just too limiting when it comes to the Word of God. You just never know what He's going to say or how He's going to move. So this podcast is about the Word of God, however it comes, whenever it comes. Sometimes an episode is about a certain Scripture or Testament, another time it might just be on ordinary life and what it means to walk with God given the world we live in today. Both reveal truths about His Word.
Many episodes carry the weight of a sermon, but the warmth of a devotional or small group, and for those that care the education is there too (MDiv and finishing a PhD).
Speaking from history, these are the types that typically get the most from my ministry:
-emerging Christian leaders
-students of the Word
-students of the Spirit
-the spiritually gifted
-intellectuals
-creatives/out-of-the-box types
-those hungry for a change from the status quo
If one of these fit you, you should definitely give it a try. If it's 2-3, you'll probably like the content. If you checked the boxes for most of these, this podcast was created for your spirit. Just pick an episode and give it 10 minutes.
