I ended up with preeclampsia & gained 90 pounds in my first pregnancy. In 1 year, I lost 80 of it and got pregnant with our second child. Even with healthy habits in my 2nd pregnancy, I still gained 60 pounds, but this time it was a healthy, complication free pregnancy and birth. My postpartum journey the second time wasn’t a walk in the park though. I faced solo parenting during a deployment, lived far from family, and had a lot of weight to lose…all with 2 kids under 2. But through tough love, consistency, habits, routine, mindset, and sustainable weight loss, I was back to my pre-baby weight and in the healthiest place I’ve ever been physically and mentally in just 14 months.
