The Esports Report is a podcast focusing on American High School Esports programs. The hosts, Ashley Hodge and Wil Nix, both started as Season 0 Esports coaches through the PlayVS Georgia Esports program. Wil Nix has experienced significant success with his program by winning the Georgia State Championship for Rocket League, and he serves on the GHSA Esports Board of Advisors. Ashley Hodge serves as a PlayVS Supercoach, A member of the GHSA Esports Board of Advisors, and a member of Riot’s Scholastic Association of America. She has created two successful esports programs in Georgia. Additionally, she is currently working on a esports dissertation. The goal of this podcast is to educate admins, students, parents, schools, and society about esports in American high schools. Topics include the following: a history of esports in GA, how to start a program, how to fund a program, how to coach, how to manage social media accounts, how to grow your program, and much more. Furthermore, several interviews with GHSA, PlayVS, coaches, students, and players are planned for future episodes.
