2 Season podcast about an ongoing documentary investigation into the radical back-to-nature group MOVE in which all members live communally in West Philadelphia and share the last name AFRICA. The series features ex-MOVE members aka "Africas" alleging that their mostly black "revolutionary family" known for being bombed by Philadelphia Police in 1985 is actually a destructive CULT with a 50 year history of child abuse, death, crimes, terror campaigns, homophobia, racism and fraud. The accounts of ex-MOVE members are put into context and corroborated by interviews with others who experienced MOVE first hand, extensive public reporting, official documents and obtained audio. SEASON 1 begins with the defection of a MOVE supporter and the escape of MOVE mother and her 5 children. Prior to escaping these sources go on the record with shocking allegations of criminal child abuse within the group and chilling information related to unsolved murder of an ex-MOVE member. It is important to start SEASON 1 with the teasers because they are mini-episodes disguised as teasers in order to confuse and distract MOVE leaders until our escaping sources arrived safely to their undisclosed locations.SEASON 2 examines the origins & history of MOVE including its founder JOHN AFRICA, his bizarre teachings and authoritarian control over his devoted followers indoctrinated to the point they are willing to kill and die for his "revolution". Warning: this podcast series contains graphic discussion involving accounts of domestic abuse, child neglect and child abuse - (psychological. physical and sexual) and so is intended for mature audiences only.
