One of the items the bible sheds light regarding the future... 2nd Coming of Christ. Revelation 22:20 NLV He who tells these things says, Yes, I am coming soon! Let it be so. Come, Lord Jesus. 21 May all of you have the loving-favor of the Lord Jesus Christ. Let it be so. Last words from the bible. Genesis introduces human history and Revelation closes human history.The Term Revelation comes from the Greek word (original language) apocalypse. Revelation is in apocalyptic in nature ...meaning the last days...end times. There was a popular book Left Behind ...an apocalyptic fiction that a sold over 63 million copies worldwide In terms of its impact on Christianity, it's probably greater than that of any other book in modern times, outside the Bible. The End Times triggers folks in a variety of ways. Some want to know everything. Others simply ignore. For many the notion of end times ushers fear. The hope for this series is ... we see the End Times as part the Christian journey. The bible is prophetic meaning it foretells the future. For example ...In Daniel 12:4 But you, Daniel, keep these words secret, and seal the book until the end times. Many will travel everywhere, and knowledge will grow.Two fields will be accelerated. Travel everywhere and technology. In 1885 the automobile was invented by Benz. In 1903 the Wright brothers flew the first airplane. Every day researchers and scientist produce an estimate 7000 new scientific papers doubling the information every 2 months. A weekly edition of the New York times contains more information than the average person was likely to come across in a life time in 17th century. Within the last 100-year span breakthroughs in medicine, industry, communication technology & transportation advanced faster than anytime of recorded history Main purpose of the prophetic is to communicate God’s message to people, providing insight, warning, correction and hope. As we become familiar with biblical views of end times...we will see that God is in full control. The one thing we can bank on is all of God’s promises will come true. The bible ends with a promise... I am coming soon. May all you have the loving-favor the Lord. The bible is a book of promises. 3500 promises. God promises to supply every need, to never leave us, bless us, prosper and protect eternal life God never made a promise that was too good to be true. -
