So what is an Alphamist?
An “Alphamist” is a play on 3 words:
First, “Alpha” is the first letter of the Greek alphabet meaning first, beginning, prime and/or leader. Many competitive people like the notion of being the Alpha! In other words, the leader of the pack, the best, the forerunner. In the military, we have the concept of the Alpha Team. In the animal world, we know the leader of animals that travel together are typically the strongest known as the Alpha. In the business world, companies strive to be the leaders in their industry – the trendsetters!
Secondly, Alphamist is a play on the word “optimist” meaning those who expect favorable outcomes! Being an Alphamist goes to the core of a person’s thinking. It deals with reprogramming negative, self-defeating thoughts and creating new self-images. The optimist expects favorable outcomes but the Alphamist demands it! The Alphamist never settles for anything less than reaching their goal. Sometimes that goal has to be reevaluated but through proper training, one learns to set the proper goal in the first place!
Lastly, Alphamists incorporates the word “alchemist” based on alchemy meaning “transformation” particularly transforming a base metal or lead into gold! There is also a segment of the population who take a deeper interpretation of the word alchemy to mean the transformation of the person or individual. It means weeding out the negative or weak traits many possess. It means uplifting one’s consciousness and awareness. It means for one to go inside of their own “cocoon” and to emerge as the new butterfly. It means complete transformation in body mind and soul.
