Have you ever wondered what being a star on Broadway is really like? Whether you’re in the industry, an aspiring performer or just a fan of theatre, “32 Bar Cut: The Show” takes its listeners on a journey with Broadway star Adrienne Walker, her husband, Broadway music director and pianist, Austin Cook and their incredible Broadway colleagues for an honest look at the life of performers on Broadway and stages across the world.
We rarely get the truth about the inner workings of Broadway and all that goes on behind the scenes, but here, the curtain is up, the fourth wall is down, and it’s time to get real! No topics are off-limits. Conversation topics include auditions, agents, casting calls, rehearsal processes, tech week, unions, opening night, performing, backstage practices, diversity on Broadway, and much more!
Adrienne and Austin both learned the hard way. It took them ten years to make it from tiny 12 seat black-box theaters in Chicago to conducting the Broadway production of Hamilton, or starring as “Nala” in Disney’s the Lion King on Broadway. Neither of them went to school for theatre. They made it to Broadway, and now you can too! Welcome to 32 Bar Cut!
